Are your managed switches classified as Layer 2 or Layer 3 switches?(日本語)

Our managed switches operate primarily at Layer 2 but incorporate some Layer 3 functionalities. This classification is often referred to as 'Layer 2+' or 'Layer 2.5'. Layer 3 features, any that are supported are clearly listed on the product datasheet and web pages.


「TSW202」マネージド スイッチと 「TSW212」マネージド スイッチの主な違いは何ですか?

Do managed switches prioritise the transfer of PROFINET or EtherNet/IP packets over TCP? Or are there plans to implement this function?(日本語)

You can configure our managed switches to use Quality of Service (QoS) settings to prioritise PROFINET traffic over the standard TCP/IP traffic. Likewise, switches that manage Ethernet/IP can be configured to have higher priority over traffic to support the requirements of real-time control and communication.


Do TSW202/212 switches offer diagnostic and configuration capabilities over EtherNet/IP (Common Industrial Protocol)?(日本語)

TSW202 and TSW212 provide support for both diagnostic and configuration capabilities over EtherNet/IP. For configuration purposes, users can set and manage a range of network parameters. In terms of diagnostics, devices can conduct port diagnostics as well as status and network parameters. Have you already used network access control, such as Radius authentication, for devices connected to LAN ports?(日本語)

This feature has successfully passed internal testing and has been integrated into the TSWOS 1.1 firmware release. It provides an additional layer of LAN port security using Radius authentication. We encourage you to test this feature and share your feedback.


Is it possible to access the web interface of a third-party device, like a camera, connected to the TSW202 switch using RMS Connect and VNC?(日本語)

Yes, you can access different devices using RMS Connect as long as they support protocols such as HTTP(S), SSH, Telnet, VNC, RDP, and SFTP. If your devices are compatible with any of these protocols, you can directly access them through RMS Connect. For a more detailed description of the configuration, we would require more specific information about your setup.


Does the product support MACsec (IEEE 802.1AE)?(日本語)

No, MACsec (IEEE 802.1AE) is currently not supported. 


Are there any plans to include support for IEC61850?(日本語)
