Managing your devices remotely is only half the equation – protecting them for the long term is the other. Teltonika's Remote Management System has always given operators full control over their infrastructure, remotely, efficiently, and at scale. Now, it goes one step further.


The new RMS Management Pack with Extended Warranty lets you combine remote management services and device protection in a single package – and the flexibility is built in from the start. As long as your device's warranty is still active, you can add or extend coverage at any point, on your own terms, without rushing or committing upfront.



WHAT IS THE RMS MANAGEMENT PACK WITH EXTENDED WARRANTY?


The new RMS Management Pack with Extended Warranty allows you to purchase remote device management and extended warranty coverage together, directly through the RMS platform. Instead of managing warranty extensions separately, everything is handled in one place – making it simpler to protect your devices and keep them under active management for longer.


AVAILABLE PACKAGES


There are four package options available to suit different deployment timelines and coverage needs:

  • RMS Management Pack 1 Year + Extended Warranty 1 Year


  • RMS Management Pack 3 Years + Extended Warranty 1 Year

  • RMS Management Pack 3 Years + Extended Warranty 3 Years

  • RMS Management Pack 5 Years + Extended Warranty 3 Years


HOW DOES THE EXTENDED WARRANTY WORK?


The extended warranty is designed to be flexible while maintaining clear boundaries to protect both the operator and the device lifecycle. Here's what you need to know:

  • Extended warranty can only be assigned while the device still has active warranty coverage – either the original factory warranty or a previously purchased extension. This ensures that every extension builds on a valid, uninterrupted warranty chain.

  • Extensions can be added multiple times. For example, a device with a two-year factory warranty could be extended by one year and later extended by another year – as long as active coverage is in place at the time of each extension.

  • The total combined warranty period – factory warranty plus all extensions – cannot exceed five years from the device's activation or purchase date. The Remote Management System automatically checks the current warranty end date and prevents any addition that would exceed this limit, removing the risk of administrative errors.


HOW IT WORKS INSIDE RMS


Adding a package is straightforward. Within the RMS platform, users can navigate to any eligible device and add a new RMS Management Pack with Extended Warranty directly. The system handles the eligibility check automatically – verifying the current warranty status and calculating whether the desired extension falls within the five-year limit.


Once added, the package activates both the RMS Management period and the corresponding warranty extension simultaneously, keeping device management and warranty coverage perfectly aligned.


WHAT ABOUT THE EXISTING WARRANTY MODEL?


The previous percentage-based warranty pricing model is not going away. It remains available for project-based sales and can be approved through the existing project process – ensuring continuity for partners and customers who rely on it for larger or custom deployments.
