The RUTX-series has been a reliable choice for countless industrial and enterprise networking applications since its launch. Now, it’s entering the end-of-life phase. This transition is due to Qualcomm discontinuing production of the CPU platform that powers the RUTX-series.
RUTX-series replacements: RUTM-series & RUTC-series
If you currently use RUTX-series devices, there's no need for immediate action – your existing units will continue to operate normally and remain covered under Teltonika EOL policy.
For new deployments and expanding networks, we recommend choosing one of the replacement models to ensure long-term support and access to the latest performance and security improvements.
RUTX, RUTM, and RUTC-series comparison
Teltonika has an extensive portfolio of hardware built to match different performance needs. To help you choose the right one for your deployment, we've put together a side-by-side comparison of the RUTX, RUTM, and RUTC series.

End-of-life timeline of RUTX-series
To keep our customers informed and ensure a smooth transition, we're sharing the key milestones in the RUTX series' end-of-life process. From the initial EOL announcement through to the final date of support, here's what you can expect and when:

For more detailed definitions of the EOL stages shown above, please see our EOL Products page.
Support policy of RUTX-series IoT devices
Reaching end-of-life doesn't mean support ends overnight. We understand that many of our customers rely on these IoT devices in long-term deployments, so we've structured a clear, multi-year support window to give you plenty of time to plan your transition. Here's how support is phased out following the End of Production date:
0–24 months after End of Production – security and bug fixes
25–60 months – critical security updates and best-effort customer support
RUTX-series enters End-of-Life: what this means for your network
Every network is different, and choosing the right IoT device depends on specific performance, security, and connectivity requirements – especially now that the RUTX series has entered its End-of-Life stage.
An End-of-Life announcement is a routine part of our product lifecycle management, not a cause for concern. Every RUTX IoT device remains fully supported throughout the transition period outlined above, giving you ample time to plan ahead.
For customers looking to upgrade, the RUTM and RUTC series offer higher VPN throughput and expanded connectivity options, making them well-suited for current and future network demands. The RUTC series stands out with enhanced performance, while the RUTM series offers a more competitive price point. If you're unsure which model best fits your setup, our technical support and sales managers are ready to help.
